Terra West Real Estate Services owner, Wayne Howard, was born and raised on an irrigated farm northeast of Greeley, Colorado. He has been involved with production agriculture in some way all of his life. In 1984 he began a career change from farming and livestock to agricultural finance by joining the John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Company. While employed with John Hancock, he acquired valuable experience in a variety of areas including farm and ranch management, sales and appraisals. Upon leaving John Hancock in 1992, Wayne began Terra West Real Estate Services. Wayne is a Certified General Appraiser and earned the distinguished ARA designation from the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA) in 1991. He also holds a real estate brokers license in the State of Wyoming.

Wayne and his wife, Kris, have two sons, one daughter and one granddaughter.
